Lisa has over 15 years of experience in business development both in the corporate and consumer markets. The last nine years of her career have been spent as an independent consultant of a gourmet food business. Food and entertaining has been a long time passion for Lisa so the opportunity to work in an industry that is known for throwing parties was a dream come true! As an Atlanta native, Lisa grew up in the city of Chamblee and currently resides in Cumming, GA. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and minor in Sales. Lisa is an active member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Michelle serves as the Director of Events for Opera. Michelle has been with the company since 2001, when she began as the PR/Marketing Coordinator for eleven50. As the private events business began to build, Michelle drew upon her nine plus years of service experience and spearheaded eleven50’s efforts. After the renovation in 2007, Michelle has continued to lead Atlanta Event Center at Opera as Midtown’s premier full service venue and in-house caterer. As Director of Events, Michelle is responsible for management over the entire sales, marketing and front of house team. She continues to both sell and manage events at Opera. Michelle has lived in the metro Atlanta area since childhood, growing up in Lilburn and currently residing in Lithia Springs. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a Public Relations Concentration as well as a minor in Marketing. Michelle is an active member of ACVB and FROG.
Lindsay Smith serves as the Private Event Sales Manager. She began as the event coordinator, managing everything from vendor load-in to staff and set-up. Lindsay has managed high volume corporate events up to 1200 people and intimate cocktail parties for 100. She has an innate understanding for all things events and loves the overall experience with each of her clients. Lindsay is now a full-time Sales Manager and manages her clients' events from concept to event day. To her, no event is ever the same and it's all about the guests' experience. Lindsay implanted into Atlanta at as child and lives here happily with her husband. She received her Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and an Event Planning Certificate from the Cecil B Day School of Hospitably at Georgia State University in 2007. Lindsay began her career in the hotel industry, but was soon hired at Opera in the fall of 2007. She is active in NACE, GAMPI, ACVB, ISES and FROG (Facility Rental Operators Group).
Event Coordinator & Banquet Event Manager
Mina is the newest addition to our team, joining Opera in September 2010 as our Marketing and Event Coordinator. Mina is responsible for assisting our sales team, the creative process and administration for all advertisements, media involvement, drafting press releases and other public relations needs, maintaining and updating all marketing materials, sales kits and the Atlanta Event Center website and industry networking. On the day of the event Mina is responsible for the organized success throughout the entire event including monitoring light, atmosphere, music, décor, guests and making sure the client is very pleased throughout the entire night. Mina loves everything about the event industry including that every day brings on a new and exciting challenge.
